Kind Words from Caroline & Woody

I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible work Lizzie and her assistant, Francesca, did as our wedding photographers. They made our wedding day truly special, and I can't thank them enough for their exceptional talent and wonderful personalities. Lizzie, working with her was an absolute joy. Her kindness, patience, and attention to detail made every moment enjoyable. There was never any pressure working with her; she made us feel at ease and beautiful throughout the day. Her ability to capture all the beautiful moments of our wedding with such ease is truly remarkable. Francesca, their assistance was equally wonderful, and they added an extra layer of professionalism to our experience. I must also extend my heartfelt thanks to Lizzie for the last-minute decision to join us at our rehearsal dinner to capture those precious moments due to weather concerns. It meant the world to us, and we are incredibly appreciative of their flexibility. What truly amazed us was the beautifully curated sneak peek album they provided the day after our wedding. It was above and beyond our expectations, and it allowed us to relive the magic of our special day immediately. Lizzie and Francesca, they both played an integral role in making our wedding day unforgettable. Their skill, dedication, and warm personalities made the experience truly special. I can't recommend them highly enough to anyone in need of a talented and personable wedding photography team. Thank them for capturing the essence of our day and providing us with beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

The bride's gown, reminiscent of the elegance and grace of Charleston, featured an Amsale ballgown with a Caroline Castigliano delicate lace shrug. The removable shrug created a stunning wedding ensemble that exuded both contemporary chic and classic romance. Giving the freedom to pick their own dresses, each bridesmaid selected a patterned blue and white dress that evoked the elegant coastal vibe.

Marine Wearing Uniform on Their Wedding Day

The groom, Woody, who is a marine currently stationed in Japan, embodies a deep connection to the ocean. His unwavering commitment to serving his country mirrors his dedication and loyalty to his bride, Caroline. The wedding incorporated sentimental military-inspired moments, such as arriving to the reception by boat, the marine's sword arch and kiss, a ceremonial champagne sabering, and a flag raise.

When Marines choose to wear their military attire on their wedding day, it's a poignant symbol of their commitment to service, honor, and love. The Marine Corps uniform is iconic, representing more than just a branch of the military. It stands for discipline, sacrifice, and a legacy of service. The groom and his fellow serivcemen proudly displayed their commitment to service and the values they uphold, bringing a rich sense of tradition, honor, and respect to their special day.

Marine Sword Arch, a Time-Honored Tradition

The Marine Sword Arch, a time-honored tradition, brings a unique and dignified element to a wedding ceremony. As the newlyweds exit the chapel or ceremony venue, they pass through the stunning and symbolic arch formed by the crossed swords of uniformed Marine Corps members. This ceremonial gesture is not only a display of precision and military tradition but also a symbolic passage into a new chapter of life. The crossed swords represent protection and solidarity, signifying the Marines' commitment to safeguarding the couple's journey together. The Marine Sword Arch is a powerful visual expression of respect, honor, and the shared values that bind the military community. As the newlyweds pass under the arch, they receive the blessings and well-wishes of their fellow Marines, creating a profound and memorable moment that beautifully blends tradition, camaraderie, and the celebration of love.
