Central Park Wedding
Central Park Wedding
Mackenzie & Nikhil // New York, New York
Oh my goodness! Mackenzie & Nikhil had a dream NYC wedding. it was truly an honor to capture these high school sweethearts’ wedding day. Nikhil and I have actually known each other since middle school. They were friends all through high school and even went to Prom together.
We started their wedding morning with getting ready portraits at the New York Athletic Club which hosts the most gorgeous Central Park views. Seriously, it’s the best view I’ve ever seen of the park. In order to reserve a room at the New York Athletic Club, a member needs to book the room on your behalf. Mackenzie is so lucky that her sister is an NYAC member. After bridal portraits, we snuck Nikhil onto the rooftop to prepare for a sweet first look between the two of them.
Once we captured epic skyline view portraits, we headed down to Central Park. Mackenzie always dreamed of wedding portraits in Central Park and that’s exactly what we did! We stopped at The Mall, Bethesda Fountain and Terrace, and the Bow Bridge. It doesn’t get much better than that. Following the park, we journeyed to Lower Manhattan for their catholic ceremony at one of the oldest churches in NYC, Our Lady of the Rosary. Their small, intimate ceremony was full of laughs and love. Congratulations, Mackenzie & Nikhil! I am so happy for you two!
Kind Words from Mackenzie & Nikhil:
Lizzie was the wedding photographer of our dreams! She replied to my initial inquiry email within minutes and her experience capturing New York City wedding was phenomenal. Her planning and organization of the photography for the day was impeccable and really allowed the day to be entirely stress-free. She trekked through Central Park to make my wedding day photo visions a reality and patiently fixed my train for each and every photo, those are the little things that we will never forget. She made us feel so comfortable and let us just be ourselves as we slow danced in Central Park and I never imagined that taking wedding day photos would be so fun!! I have been dreaming of having Lizzie be my photographer for so long now and I am eternally grateful to her for making my wedding day dreams come true!!
