City Hall Wedding in Jersey City

Naoko & Kenshiro have been waiting over a year for their wedding day and on February 16, 2021, they finally got to celebrate. When the pandemic kept postponing their wedding in Hawaii, Naoko and Kenshiro decided to elope and get married at the Jersey City City Hall with the Mayor of Jersey City, Steven Fulop, as their officiant. Naoko and Kenshiro, now both Jersey City residents, met through work and kept their long-distance relationship going. Kenshiro is originally from Hawaii and moved to the NYC area a few years ago. When Naoko knew Kenshiro was the one, she moved all the way from Tokyo to be with him.
The day started with getting ready portraits, an emotional first look, and signing of the name change forms for Japan at the luxurious Crosby Street Hotel in SoHo. After leaving the hotel, we headed to the West Village to capture classic NYC wedding portraits. Together we traveled to Jersey City for their City Hall wedding. With best friends as witnesses and their families watching via Zoom from Japan and Hawaii they tied the knot.
After leaving Jersey City, the couple celebrated at Hudson Table in Hoboken with an intimate dinner prepared by their friend and renowned Chef Akira Hiratsuka. Congratulations again, Naoko & Kenshiro! Your wedding day was something incredibly special and I feel so honored I could be there with you!
