Meet Mr & Mrs Hunt! Their evening summer wedding at Fidler’s Elbow Country Club had so many “oh my gosh” moments but one of my favorites was the absolutely epic sunset portraits (make sure you scroll until the end!). When the two of them reached out to discuss their wedding photographer, they said that they wanted their wedding photographs to tell the story of their wedding day: from getting ready with their closest family and friends to exchanging vows during a romantic outdoor wedding ceremony to the faux sparkler exit at the “end” of the night. I was more than happy to oblige! It was such a joy capturing every single moment of their wedding at Fidler’s Elbow.

Lizzie was the first vendor we booked for our June 2022 wedding, and doing so was one of the best decisions we made. Getting Ready Photos at Fidler’s Elbow Country Club

Although I am more than happy to travel between locations on a wedding day, there is something so serene about a wedding day that starts and stops at the same place. I met Nicole first for their getting-ready photos at the venue and immediately started photographing all of the beautiful details that went into making their wedding day uniquely theirs. Just a few of my favorite details included their custom invitation suite (with a gorgeous watercolor feature on the details card), their custom vow books, and of course - her Loeffler Randall shoes. Nicole looked absolutely stunning in her Essence of Australia wedding dress and Bryan looked dashing in a classic black suit.

A First Look Outside Fidler’s Elbow Country Club

Once the two of them were ready, we set up their first look just outside the doors of their wedding venue. After all, one of the reasons that they chose Fidler’s Elbow Country Club was because of the gorgeous architecture. I wanted to capture every detail of the stone exterior and the charm and character of the wedding venue that the two of them fell in love with when they booked this magical place. The sprawling grounds of Fiddler's Elbow are a testament to nature's beauty. Lush green fairways, manicured gardens, and serene ponds create a picturesque setting that is both tranquil and captivating.

Once we secured a private location for the two of them to enjoy these first moments together on their wedding day, my heart melted seeing the two of them together. After meeting on Bumble five years ago, these two have been inseparable ever since (and it shows!). After their first look, I snuck them away to take some portraits at the various other beautiful locations on the property. If you are looking for a country club wedding venue with seemingly endless options for backdrops, I’d be happy to recommend Fidler’s Elbow Country Club. I couldn’t get enough of these two. I also took them to snap a few wedding photos at their wedding ceremony location so they could see the abundance of classic white florals and greenery that awaited them. From there, we met with their wedding party to take more portraits before the ceremony. The two of them had a larger wedding party (seven on each side) but they honestly made the portrait time so much fun for our bride and groom!

A Gorgeous Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Because the two of them chose to have an evening ceremony, they wanted a majority of their wedding photos taken before the ceremony so that after they said their “I Do’s” they could soak up each enjoyable moment and cocktail with their guests. Their wedding ceremony was short and sweet (perfect for the summer heat!) but was also incredibly moving. Their first kiss was absolutely electric and their smiles took up their entire faces as they walked back down the aisle together married. After their ceremony, guests headed to cocktail hour indoors and I took just a few more photos with the newlyweds!

I love a wedding that is just as joyful as it is beautiful. By the reception, Nicole and Bryan were ready to celebrate! I don’t think I caught the two of them without big smiles all evening. There was one moment when the groom busted out some karaoke and I honestly thought my cheeks would hurt from smiling so much. The entire evening was absolutely incredible and I was beyond honored they chose me to document the most perfect summer wedding day.

Now - let’s talk about that sunset! I like to consider myself an incredibly detail-oriented wedding photographer - I absolutely love to obsess over the smallest details and make sure I am working with my couples to curate the most incredible timeline so that I can capture their wedding photos with the best natural light possible. Even still, I could have never predicted (or recreated!) the gorgeous pink skies that showed up for Nicole and Bryan’s sunset wedding portraits. If I could relive that moment in time forever and ever, I absolutely would. Once the sun was down, we gathered their wedding party for a sparkler exit which was the perfect ending to a beautiful evening.
