Heritage Club at Bethpage Wedding
Sarah & Gary // Farmingdale, New York
Congratulations Sarah and Gary! I’m still reveling in the beauty that was this Heritage Club at Bethpage wedding. These two beautiful souls met at Quinnipiac University and Sarah mentioned from the moment she laid eyes on him in the school cafe, she thought he was the cutest thing. Needless to say, the rest is history! These two are so in love and I couldn’t have been more excited to have captured their wedding day. Sarah and Gary are stunning both inside and out.
It’s easy to see why The Heritage Club at Bethpage remains one of New York’s most celebrated venues. These two had toured nine wedding venues before coming to The Heritage Club. Sometimes it takes a little time to find the one, but it was worth it. When they started touring The Heritage Club, Sarah and her mom shared happy tears. It was such a special moment, and certainly worth waiting for. The views were stunning from every angle and I can’t wait to share them here today.
Kind Words from Sarah & Gary:
WOW. WOW. WOW. One of the hardest parts of wedding planning is finding a perfect photographer. Lizzie made this the easiest decision for me. Lizzie is not only an amazing photographer, but an amazing human. She is kind, patient, and knows how to make you feel beautiful on your wedding day. From the moment she walked in to the moment she walked out she gave us her absolute best. She found the most beautiful backdrops at our venue and made the experience for both myself and my groom organic and simple.
We were able to just be ourselves. She not only captured moments, she captured all the emotions; the love and the happiness throughout the night.
From the moment I met Lizzie via zoom, I instantly clicked with her. I loved her candid, airy, natural style & I booked her on the spot. She made our entire wedding day timeline and was flexible with last minute changes. Our wedding was a Friday night; Saturday morning at 11:30AM I had an online album of 100+ sneak peeks. If you're a bride you know how incredible this is. We spent the entire weekend admiring these photos. She and her second photographer, Lisa did not miss a moment. They both just had the best time photographing our wedding day and we truly couldn't ask for anything better. I will always recommend Lizzie. Thank you and Lisa for being a part of the best night of our lives!
Gorgeous Wedding at the Heritage Club at Bethpage
Sarah genuinely enjoyed so much of the wedding planning process. From the moment I arrived to celebrate with them, there was so much excitement for everything about to come. We captured both of their getting ready photos at the Hilton Garden Inn Melville before heading off to their wedding venue. Their wedding was filled with the prettiest details in shades of sage green and neutrals and I loved soaking up every single detail they had put together. From a full invitation suite to opulent velvet ring boxes, everything was perfect.
From the hotel, we headed straight to the venue for their first look. The Heritage Club at Bethpage offered the perfect backdrops to celebrate these two. We started with their first look in from of their adoring wedding party and parents cheering them on. After the first look, we headed to several locations throughout the golf club taking full advantage of every setting. Each backdrop felt even more gorgeous than the last. Their wedding party was also committed to making the group portraits so much fun, and the time we had together for outdoor portraits went so quickly (and joyfully).
An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
On top of being absolutely stunning, one of my favorite details from their outdoor wedding ceremony at the Heritage Club was their wedding party walking down the aisle to “In case you didn’t know” by Brett Young. The song had special meaning to the two of them as it came on when Gary proposed (he had adorned their living room in candles and roses and had carefully lined one of the walls with photos of the two of them in the words “Marry Me”) and it also came on at the bridal boutique when Sarah said Yes to her Dress! I love when couples are able to tie in special elements of their love story into their wedding day and it made their outdoor wedding ceremony feel even more exclusive to them.
An Indoor Reception in The Heritage Club at Bethpage Ballroom
Sarah and Gary wanted their wedding to feel both timeless and romantic, and everything came together beautifully. I love the classic color palette they choose, you can truly never go wrong with white florals and greenery. The ballroom at the Heritage Club was filled with natural light. Sarah and Gary shared their first dance and enjoyed dinner with their family and friends before sneaking off for an outfit change!
An Incredible Summer Wedding in New York
When these two came out in their reception outfit change, I was so obsessed with their 2nd looks. As if the day could get even more incredible, these shots of them walking into their reception are some of my favorites from the entire day. Sarah and Gary wanted their wedding photos to capture the joy and all the emotions throughout the day, and remember just how truly special their wedding at the Heritage Club was. As a wedding photographer, I feel like I can say with some confidence their wedding was one-of-a-kind, completely enveloped in their love for one another (and gorgeous complementary wedding decor). I was beyond honored to capture all of their moments!
Sarah and Gary, your wedding was absolutely incredible - the most fun and heartfelt day. Congratulations!
