Shaista and Danny had a European-inspired May wedding at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York. Nestled in the heart of Long Island, the historic Oheka Castle set the stage for Shaista and Danny’s unforgettable and sunny wedding day. The grand estate, with its opulent gardens and timeless elegance, was the perfect backdrop for a celebration filled with love, laughter, and enchanting moments.

Oheka Castle is a prized jewel of historic hotels on Long Island. This luxurious, chateau-style estate is surrounded by gorgeous gardens making for picture-perfect portraits. Oheka Castle is an exquisite luxury venue choice for your Long Island New York wedding.  Built in 1919 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it was featured in Taylor Swift’s Blank Space music video. At Oheka Castle, there are endless portrait locations making it a favorite for photographers. It was so exciting to be back shooting a wedding at one of my all-time favorite venues.

Oheka Castle Garden Ceremony

Their ceremony took place in the Formal Gardens, where the lush greenery and vibrant blooms provided a breathtaking setting. Shaista walked down the aisle in a stunning gown that seemed to glimmer with every step, while Danny, dashing in his tailored tuxedo, waited with palpable anticipation. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows under a beautifully adorned floral arch, their words echoing the depth of their commitment and love.

The Oheka Castle Gardens are the most popular spot for a wedding ceremony at Oheka Castle. The gardens feature a stunning fountain, manicured hedges, and colorful flowers, making it the perfect backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. The bride makes her grand entrance down the long walkway, surrounded by the beauty of the gardens. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the terrace or in the castle's intimate Terrace Room. The Terrace Room offers a more intimate space for smaller weddings or cocktail receptions. The room is beautifully decorated with antique furnishings and provides stunning views of the castle's gardens.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to a grand reception in the castle's opulent ballroom. The room was adorned with elegant floral arrangements, soft candlelight, and intricate decor that perfectly captured the couple's sophisticated style. The atmosphere was filled with joy as Shaista and Danny shared their first dance as husband and wife, surrounded by the warmth and well-wishes of their loved ones.

The evening was a whirlwind of laughter and dancing. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner, followed by speeches that left no dry eye in the room. The couple's cake, a multi-tiered masterpiece, was a highlight of the night, combining classic design with contemporary flair. The Grand Ballroom is the crown jewel of Oheka Castle, with its soaring ceilings, intricate detailing, and stunning chandeliers. The space can accommodate up to 400 guests for a seated dinner and dancing, making it perfect for large weddings. The ballroom's large windows provide natural light and stunning views of the castle's formal gardens.
