Paramount Country Club Wedding

Lin & Corrado // New City, New York

Meet the new Mr & Mrs Mancini! While it is (truly and sincerely) always an honor to be chosen as a couple’s wedding photographer, Lin and Corrado’s wedding at Paramount Country Club has a special place in my heart, as she is also a highly respected photographer. When she reached out, I was beyond ecstatic. The Paramount Country Club was the most extraordinary venue too: with the location being central to where they live now (Hudson Valley) and where their families live (New Jersey), they were able to celebrate amidst iconic mountain views, against stone walls and other incredible architecture, and share their love of nature with their guests. I can’t wait to share a few of their wedding photos on the blog today.

Kind Words from Lin & Corrado

We are so happy we chose Lizzie as our wedding photographer. I’m actually a wedding photographer myself, so choosing a photographer for my own wedding was obviously a HUGE decision, but the second we had our consultation with Lizzie, we knew she was "the one" and she's done nothing but exceed our expectations ever since. Her photography style is perfect: light & airy but with a pop of contrast and warmth. Just gorgeous. The way she conducts herself on the wedding day is perfect too. She is positive, confident, organized, friendly, attentive, helpful… all the traits you want around you on a wedding day. Leading up to the wedding day, she's also very organized, gathering all the information she needs from you and making you feel taken care of. We always felt like we were in good hands with Lizzie as our photographer. She captured so many incredible photos and allowed us to relive every angle of our wedding day. Thank you so much for everything, Lizzie – we can't thank you enough for giving us the most wonderful wedding photography experience and for delivering the most beautiful mementos of the best day in our lives. <3

Getting Ready at Paramount Country Club

I love when a venue has two getting-ready suites for the couple because truly, the last thing you want to spend time on during your wedding day is transportation. Both Lin and Corrado got ready on site which made setting up for their outdoor first look a breeze. Lin took photos of her wedding details the day prior, so I was able to spend almost all of my time capturing the authentic interactions and emotions between her and her closest family and friends.

Fall Portraits before the Wedding Ceremony

Although the Paramount Country Club has plenty of locations overlooking the golf course, Lin and Corrado preferred backdrops that better reflected the natural beauty that Upstate New York is known for. These two originally started their conversation at a party after he ordered a Danish beer (a Carlsberg), and their relationship has turned into something that ended up being pure magic. I could not capture their love for one another fast enough!

A Moment for the Perfectly Executed Color Palette

As a wedding photographer who has shot over 250 weddings in her career, one of Lin’s favorite parts of the wedding planning process was actually getting to be creative and actualize all of the details she had been collecting throughout the years of weddings she loved. Although fall weddings often feature a more muted wedding color palette, Lin and Corrado kept it light and joyful with tones of light orange, peaches, gold, and ivory for their florals and wedding decor. On top of that, you’ll never believe it looking at the photos, but Lin orchestrated and designed all of the florals herself. Her vision of a lush, natural, and warm wedding vibe came together in the most exceptional way.

Elegant Garden Wedding Ceremony

I’m going to share photos from their breathtaking garden wedding ceremony next, but I have to pause to tell you one of the most incredible proposal stories I have ever heard. It had been an ongoing joke for years that it was going to be impossible for Corrado to top all the proposals Lin had seen as a wedding and proposal photographer. There was a rare once-every-75-years sunrise solar eclipse that was going to happen so Lin and Corrado decided to plan one of their “usual” hiking photoshoots that morning. Once they had reached the top of the mountain, Lin set up her camera on a tripod and clicked the self-timer button. It was then that Corrado dropped down to one knee and said: "I love sharing these experiences with you, from epic moments like these, the once-every-75-year sunrise eclipse, to our daily rising sun lattes.” “You are an inspiration to me and make me a better person in every possible way.” “We've already accomplished so much together and I can't wait to continue accomplishing our goals together in the future.” “I love you to the mountains and back.” “I have a two-part question:

1. Will you set a goal with me to come back here to see the next eclipse in 75 years?

2. Lin Pernille Kristensen, will you marry me?”

He then opened the ring box to showcase three different rings so after she said yes, she asked “how many times?!”. He had thought of everything - including using three different returnable rings as stand-ins so she could see different options in person before ordering a custom “forever” ring. Lin felt like the luckiest girl in the world (and truly - this was so thoughtful I think she just might be!).

How many proposal photographers can say they shot their own proposal? These two are truly perfect for each other!

Paramount Country Club Wedding Reception

After what was truly the most picture-perfect day, it was time for the reception to begin. Their wedding reception started with a private dance between just the two of them and quickly became a giant celebration as the room filled with family and friends. Their first dance was to “One Great Mystery” by Lady A - which Lin had first heard at their concert in 2015 shortly after the two of them had started dating. She said she started tearing up instantly because it was exactly how they felt about one another. She instantly though “Imagine if we got married one day and this was first dance song”. And then it was, seven years later. Surreal. Everything was incredible from start to finish, and I absolutely relished in how lucky I felt to be trusted to capture the most incredible day.

Congratulations Lin & Corrado! It was such an honor and a joy to capture your wedding!
