Meet Mr & Mrs Hiatt! This Ashford Estate wedding was equally cheerful and romantic, and I can’t wait to share all of the gorgeous wedding photos here today. Elizabeth and Adam were one of my first weddings for the 2022 season, and I couldn’t have pictured a more quintessential spring wedding to kick off the year. There were so many genuine and beautiful moments throughout the day I can’t even choose a favorite. From getting ready in the bride’s family home, to the way Elizabeth and Adam looked at one another at their church ceremony, to their first dance in the middle of the gorgeous Ashford Estate ballroom, everything came together effortlessly. Romance will always be timeless and I was thrilled to capture their Ashford Estate wedding day!

Nestled amidst the lush landscapes of Allentown, New Jersey, Ashford Estate stands as a testament to timeless elegance and unparalleled beauty. This enchanting estate has long been recognized as one of the most sought-after wedding venues on the East Coast. With its sprawling grounds, historic architecture, and impeccable service, it's no wonder that couples from all over the world dream of celebrating their special day at Ashford Estate. Ashford Estate, a magnificent 30-acre property, boasts a rich history dating back to the 19th century. The estate was once a private residence, but it has since been transformed into a luxurious wedding venue. The moment you set foot on the property, you are transported into a world of fairytales and romance.

To say that Lizzie is an amazing photographer is an understatement. Her work is impeccable and speaks for itself. She created an incredible timeline for our day, worked flawlessly with our other vendors, and captured beautiful and timeless photos. Everyone in our bridal party loved working with her as well! When I first saw Lizzie’s Instagram, I knew I wanted to have her photograph our wedding which was the absolute best decision! It felt like having a (a very organized!) friend with us on wedding day! Getting Ready Photos at Home

I love a sentimental location so when Elizabeth told me they would be getting ready in the house she grew up in, I couldn’t wait. Elizabeth’s parents decorated their Princeton, NJ home with tons of sentimental wedding details. It was so sweet to see! As a New Jersey wedding photographer, I always love how relaxed my couples tend to feel when they are getting ready at home, and I couldn’t wait to capture all of the incredible details. Even after 5 years in business, I still melt a little inside when I see a velvet ring box, a crisp wedding invitation, and the most perfect blooms from the wedding florist.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was Elizabeth’s mom helping her into her wedding dress. I had asked Elizabeth previously what her favorite part of the wedding planning process had been, and she admitted that honestly she had enjoyed planning her wedding day with her mom. It was such a bonding moment between the two of them and it was so rewarding watching the love between them as the beginning of the wedding day began to unfold.

Wedding Ceremony at St. David the King Church

Although most couples opt for a first look, Elizabeth and Adam chose the traditional route of waiting until the wedding ceremony to lay eyes on one another. You could feel the anticipation across the aisle, and the whole ceremony was a combination of both traditional and incredibly personal. Six years ago, Elizabeth and Adam met at a party in DC. Shortly after, he spent the weekend visiting her in Sea Girt (where we took their engagement photos!). They have been inseparable ever since. Everyone rose to celebrate when they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife and they were greeted by a parade of bubbles (and cheers!) as they exited their church ceremony.

After Elizabeth and Adam’s wedding ceremony, they hopped into the vintage car waiting for them and headed straight for Ashford Estate for more wedding portraits before their reception. Once we arrived at Ashford Estate, I couldn’t get enough of all the incredible backdrops for their wedding day portraits. The Ashford Estate is an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue and the castle-esque exterior details added to the idyllic nature of their wedding day.

The gardens at Ashford Estate provide an idyllic setting for outdoor ceremonies. Imagine exchanging vows beneath a lush canopy of trees, surrounded by the sweet scent of blooming flowers. The estate offers a range of ceremony sites, each more enchanting than the last. For those who prefer an indoor ceremony, the Grand Ballroom can be transformed into a romantic chapel with its towering windows and elegant decor. No matter where you choose to say "I do," Ashford Estate ensures that your ceremony is a moment of pure magic.

Is there anything more joyful than pops of color in the spring? Elizabeth and Adam primarily kept their wedding colors soft and romantic, with ‘Whipped Apricot’ bridesmaid dresses and sharp navy blue suits for the groomsmen. For their floral centerpieces, they wanted to include a few brighter florals in stunning shades of citron, lavender and peach. There was a glass of champagne at each seat, anxiously awaiting for guests to arrive and the celebration to begin. Adam and Elizabeth danced into their wedding reception to “How Sweet It Is” by James Taylor as guests gathered eagerly to watch the two of them. Everything came together flawlessly and the whole Ashford Estate Wedding felt like it was plucked from a fairytale.

The Grand Ballroom is where the real enchantment happens. From the moment you step inside, you and your guests will be captivated by the grandeur and beauty of the space. The expert culinary team at Ashford Estate creates a culinary experience that is nothing short of exquisite. Guests can indulge in a delectable feast while toasting to your love and celebrating your union. A Sparkler Exit to Finish the Day

There’s nothing I revel in more than the romance of a sparkler exit. At the end of an absolutely perfect wedding day at Ashford Estate, I gathered their wedding party for one final experience before the end of the night. With their bridesmaids on one side and groomsmen on the other, Elizabeth and Adam were able to soak up the enchantment of their wedding day under a sea of sparkling light.
