Atelier Ballroom Wedding
Caroline & Tom // Jersey City, New Jersey
Meet the new Mr. & Mrs. Przybylowski! It was an absolute dream to photograph their wedding at the Atelier Ballroom in New Jersey. I’ve been counting down the days until this fabulous fall wedding since I met the two of them for their engagement photos in Central Park last year. They were so classic and elegant then, and their wedding day was absolutely no exception. With the groom (and groomsmen) in black tuxedos, the bridesmaids in gorgeous Birdy Grey Silver Chiffon, and the bride herself wearing a bespoke gown by Rita Vinieris, everyone looked incredible. Their day was filled with fun and heartfelt moments, and I can’t wait to share them today.
Kind Words from Caroline and Tom
Lizzie was an ABSOLUTELY amazing photographer - hiring her for our wedding in Jersey City September, 2022, was the BEST decision we possibly could have made. She was so communicative, she knew how to pose us, and she provided more than 100 photos in our 'sneak peek' alone! She's so sweet and pleasant to work with, and her light and airy editing style is just so classic and beautiful - I can't recommend her enough! Thank you so much, Lizzie!
An NYC Love Story
Frome Hinge in New York City in 2019 to the most elegant wedding day… this NYC love story was one for the books! Caroline and Tom’s first date was at a wine bar in Midtown and three weeks later he was asking her to turn her Claddagh ring around. For those who don’t know the tradition, you wear your ring one way if you are single, and another if you weren’t. Tom knew shortly after meeting Caroline that they were a perfect match. When he was ready to propose, on their two-year wedding anniversary, Tom took Caroline down to the Jersey City waterfront. At the end of the pier, overlooking the downtown Manhattan skyline, her asked Caroline to upgrade her Claddagh ring with one question: will you marry me?
Jersey City Waterfront Wedding
Naturally, Caroline and Tom like to think that NYC was where their love story began, and Jersey City is where the life they are building together is now. The water holds special significance to them for that reason (and a few others). For their wedding portraits, we captured Caroline and Tom in front of the Atelier Ballroom, with the iconic Manhattan skyline in full view. Caroline and Tom wanted the photos of them to showcase intimacy, joy, and the love they have between them (and honestly, they made my job easy!). When their wedding party met for the remainder of the portraits, it was even more fun with eight on either side posing and celebrating with the nearlyweds.
Atelier Ballroom Wedding
Caroline and Tom chose the Atelier Ballroom to be their wedding venue not only because it was on the Jersey City waterfront (which was important to them!), but also because the Atelier itself is stunning. They wanted a Jersey City wedding venue that was the perfect blend of urban sophistication and elegance they were looking for, and it did not disappoint. The entire wedding day was stunning, but one of the things I loved the most was all the natural light (and the view!) of their gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony.
Classic Wedding Reception Decor + Incredible First Dance Choreography
I firmly believe I work with the most incredible couples, and the juxtaposition between breathtakingly beautiful and so much fun will never get old. Caroline and Tom kept it classic with a white and greenery color palette, and let the beauty of the Atelier Ballroom shine through their wedding reception decor (the 18 ft floor-to-ceiling windows will never get old). On top of their wedding reception being stunning, it was also so much fun. Caroline and Tom kicked things off with a fully choreographed first dance and the dance floor never emptied from there. Fresh and fabulous.
NYC Waterfront Wedding Photos
Toward the end of the evening, I snuck Caroline and Tom away for some late-night wedding photos in front of the NYC skyline. That view never stops amazing me (even after being an NYC wedding photographer for over 5 years now). Our time together finished with a sparkler exit with their wedding party and it was absolute perfection. I would gladly relive their wedding day again and again!
Congratulations Caroline & Tom! I’m so happy for you both!
