Battello Wedding

Elizabeth & Dylan // Jersey City, New Jersey

Meet Mr & Mrs Peipert! Elizabeth and Dylan’s Battello wedding was an absolute dream with an abundance of white florals, french blue details, and the iconic Manhattan skyline in their view. After more than a decade together, I wanted to capture absolutely every moment. Elizabeth and Dylan wanted a mixture of candid wedding photos and photos where they were actually smiling at the camera and I have to admit, that’s my sweet spot. Not only do I always love to capture weddings at Battello (it’s definitely one of my favorite Jersey City wedding venues), but Elizabeth and Dylan were incredible to work with from start to finish. They made my job easy. Keep reading for their beautiful love story.

Battello in Jersey City, a contemporary waterfront restaurant, provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic celebration. With its chic interior, expansive windows, and an outdoor terrace overlooking the cityscape, this venue seamlessly blended modern elegance with the charm of the waterfront setting. Nestled on the waterfront with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, this unique venue set the stage for a dreamy summer wedding.

Kind Words from Elizabeth & Dylan:

When planning our wedding we picked our venue first and a close second was photography because we knew how important this was for our day. From the second we met with Lizzie we knew she would be the perfect person to capture our engagement photos and wedding day. Lizzie is an incredibly talented photographer (look at her pictures!), so easy to work with, and an overall joy to be around! She is so organized, detail oriented, and professional. She worked with our wedding planner to create a master timeline that was followed to the minute! When Lizzie first met my husband and I we were camera shy, by the last shot of the night we were so comfortable it felt like we were doing a photo shoot with a good friend. We could not recommend Lizzie enough, we will have our pictures to cherish forever thanks to her.

From NYC to NJ - A Love Story

I have been counting down the days until Liz and Dylan’s wedding since I met them on the Brooklyn Bridge for their engagement photos last year. These two met in elementary school when they were only six years old. They officially started dating in their junior year of high school (yes - they went to prom together!) and after almost ten short years of dating, Dylan dropped to one knee and proposed at the Seaport in NYC. Although the two of them happily live (and love) in Hoboken now, FiDi will always be their first home.

Wedding Portraits in Jersey City

With an epic love story, comes an epic wedding party. When you have been together for over a decade, it’s no surprise that you will have a large group of people wanting to celebrate with you. After a beautiful first look in front of the Battello, their wedding party joined them for outdoor wedding portraits. Is there a more iconic backdrop for wedding photos than the Manhattan skyline? After (many) years as a NYC wedding photographer, if there is, I haven’t seen it.

Battello Wedding Ceremony

After their outdoor wedding portraits, we walked the short distance to Battello for their evening wedding ceremony. If you are looking for an NJ wedding venue, I don’t believe there are better views in the Garden State than the ones you have at Battello. I love the industrial aesthetic of the venue, and I can’t imagine a more incredible place for Elizabeth and Dylan to start the next chapter of their lives together. Their classic white and greenery wedding color palette was flawlessly executed (keep scrolling for the wedding planner and wedding florist credits at the end!) and added a touch of tradition to an otherwise modern wedding venue-pure perfection.

Battello Wedding Reception

I don’t believe there is a more classically beautiful wedding color palette than white and greenery (with touches of blue - of course). Battello was adorned with gorgeous florals and luxurious white linens from floor to ceiling. You could see the gorgeous NYC skyline from your table. While Elizabeth and Dylan’s wedding was absolutely stunning, I also loved seeing how much FUN they had throughout the evening. There were so many sweet and sentimental touches throughout, from Elizabeth’s sister singing their first dance song to the last song of the night (which was “This Is Indiana” - where the couple and many of their guests are from!).

A Jersey City Wedding Day

Overall, I couldn’t be more grateful to be chosen to capture Elizabeth and Dylan’s wedding day. These two were absolutely beautiful humans (inside and out). When they started to dream about their wedding, they wanted to show their guests (who were mostly from the mid-west!) a little bit of NYC (where they started their lives together) combined with where they live now (Hoboken, NJ). Battello wedding venue was the perfect place to start the next chapter and I couldn’t be happier for the two of them!

Congratulations Elizabeth and Dylan! Your journey together has already been incredible and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
