Fiddler's Elbow Wedding

Wedding at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club

Becca & Chris // Bedminster, NJ

Meet new Mr. & Mrs. McMahon!! This Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club wedding was one for the books, and I have been dying to share this October wedding for far too long now. Becca and Chris were deemed to be a match by a Nobel Prize-winning algorithm (Hinge!) and after 5 years of dating (in July 2020), Chris couldn’t wait any longer to propose. He convinced her to take a road trip up to Maine and near the end of their stay, Chris coxed Becca onto Cadillac Mountain’s peak (the highest point of the US’ easter seaboard) for a photo by the summit. Eager to add to their sparse picture collection (back then!), Becca happily agreed. When they arrived, she said YES, and the rest is history. Just two short years later, we were listening to wedding bells and I could not have been happier for them both. I was also thrilled to return to Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club again!

Kind Words from Becca & Chris

Kris Jenner works hard, Lizzie Burger works harder. When it rained on our wedding day, I was struggling to reframe the expectations that I had for the day. Unbeknownst to me, Lizzie had us covered— literally and figuratively! The proof is in the pictures. Her artistic eye paired with her project management-focused brain enables her to deliver a top-notch customer experience. My husband and I believe it is of utmost importance that you enjoy the company of your photographer, as they are by your side for the entire wedding day. Lizzie is that hype woman and so much more. Hire her (& her lovely team) and don’t look back!

Getting Ready at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club

Becca and Chris chose not to have a first look, but they still both got ready at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club. From the moment I arrived, there was so much joy in the air.

A Neutral and Earthy Wedding Color Palette

Becca and Chris really wanted their wedding portraits to take place outdoors, in front of Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club. At first, it didn’t appear the weather was going to cooperate but we found pockets of time to sneak out so they would have the wedding portraits they had been dreaming of! I always like to think everything happens for a reason, and one of the things that was the most important to the two of them was that they didn’t feel washed out in their photos (understandable!). Although I can absolutely work in any lighting condition, the clouds added a perfect filter for their complexions (and stunning earthy wedding color palette). Olive just might be one of my favorite bridesmaid dress colors of all time.

Wedding Ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help

The twenty-minute drive to their wedding ceremony location went by in an instant, as the excitement in the air was palpable. Becca and Chris have such a connection, it’s undeniable from the moment you are in their presence. Chris loves all things adventurous (think hiking, biking, kayaking) and Becca enjoys crafting and DIY projects (everything from knitting to flipping furniture!). According to the two of them, when you pair them together you find yourself living in a crossover between The History Channel’s “Alone” and Netflix’s “Dream Home Makeover”. After a heartfelt wedding ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, it’s clear the combination works!

Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club Wedding Reception

If you have perused my blog before, you’ve likely discovered my love for Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club. While Becca and Chris initially fell in love with the stone exterior (Becca said it reminded her of an English Garden and I have to agree), the ballroom was an equal match for the naturally elegant vibe they had envisioned for their wedding day. I think Becca said it best when she said, “after being engaged for over two years, we just want a very natural and effortless feel”. Their wedding reception was decorated in a way that was timeless, and very elegant. I enjoyed soaking up all of the minimalist details.

A Joyful and Exciting Wedding Reception

One of Becca and Chris’ favorite parts of the wedding planning process was seeing how excited their family and friends were to celebrate with them. As you can likely tell in this post, these two are the absolute sweetest together, but they are also so much fun. They make each other laugh, but they are an absolute joy for others to be around as well. I was honored to be the one entrusted to document their wedding day and would do it over and over again. To soak up even more of these two newlyweds, you can find their Rockefeller State Park Preserve engagement photos here.

Congratulations Becca & Chris! Your wedding day was such a joy!
