Stone House at Stirling Ridge Wedding

Diana & Scott // Warren, New Jersey

Meet the Zaleses! Diana and Scott’s spring wedding at Stone House at Stirling Ridge was definitely one for the books. Their wedding day featured a soft wedding color palette of light dusty blue, greenery, and white hues, partnered with a strong desire to host a wedding that felt light and fun. Needless to say, I was ready from the moment they reached out. After their incredible Hoboken engagement photoshoot (where we truly had a blast!), I knew this wedding would be one to remember and I can’t wait to share a few of my favorite moments on the blog today. If you are considering a Stone House at Stirling Ridge wedding, prepare to fill your inspiration boards!

Kind Words from Diana & Scott

Five stars are not enough for Lizzie. She is attentive, caring, thoughtful, and an absolutely incredible photographer. She truly cares about her couples; this comfort and ease shine through her photos. She captured our wedding so beautifully and we will look back at these photos forever! Lizzie was the first vendor we booked and she made the entire wedding planning process seamless for us! I could not recommend Lizzie enough! We are so lucky to have met her and will definitely be finding any excuse to work with her again! Thank you, Lizzie!

Getting Ready at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Berkeley Heights

The day started at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Berkely Heights, and there was so much joy radiating from both of their suites. They both had larger wedding parties, with eight on either side, and everyone brought such contagious energy into their getting-ready experience. Diana’s outgoing nature has been a perfect match for Scott’s witty humor since their first date at Union Square. The two of them love spending time with family and friends and you can tell how much they all care for one another. Everyone was thrilled to be celebrating the soon-to-be-Zaleses.

A Cherry Blossom First Look

Before I share photos from their first look (and the wedding portraits that followed), I need to stop and share their sweet proposal story. In October 2020, Diana and Scott woke up bright and early to get ready for the “fall photoshoot” being held on the rooftop of their building’s apartment. The last remaining time slot was 9:00 am. Little did Diana know - the fall photoshoot was all part of an elaborate plan that Scott and their two families had orchestrated weeks prior. As they headed up to the roof, she quickly realized there was no photoshoot. Scott had planned the surprise so well - he even used a local Brooklyn photographer’s name for the “sign up” links. They had friends hiding on the rooftops with bagels and champagne - ready to snap photos of the entire proposal. It was the start of an incredible weekend celebrating as they planned to embark on the next chapter of their love story.

An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Stone House at Stirling Ridge

Ready to commit to life in Hoboken spending their time dog-sitting, coming up with elaborate weekly dinner menus, and exploring their neighborhood, Diana and Scott tied the knot on the porch at Stone House at Stirling Ridge. Their facial expressions, as well as the ones on their guests’ faces, truly said it all: they were in for a lifetime of laughter. Their wedding ceremony was short and sweet - with a heavy emphasis on the sweet. The air practically vibrated with excitement when the two shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

Romantic Reception Details

Greeting guests as they arrived, was Scott’s birthday gift to Diana: a movie-style poster with their names, date, and venue. It was displayed on the seating assignment table, where Diana had carefully made all of the individual name cards for each of their guests. Their wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and the tall windows flooded the indoor ballroom with light illuminating each and every detail. Scott and Diana initially chose the Stone House at Stirling Ridge to be their wedding venue because her parents had gotten married there. They toured several different venues but nothing felt quite right until they walked into the Stone House and just immediately knew. Diana started crying, her dad started crying, and when they left she even said that Scott shed a tear. It ended up truly being the most incredible location for the two of them and I love the way they incorporated so much of their personalities and interests throughout the wedding.

Congratulations to the Happy Couple!

I always love asking my couples about the atmosphere they are hoping to create on their wedding day and Diana and Scott, both agreed they wanted it to feel light and fun. They wanted their love to radiate to all of their guests and have everyone join them on the dance floor as much as possible. The dance floor ended up being packed all night and nobody could wipe those ear-to-ear smiles off their faces watching these two newlyweds celebrate. I could not be happier for them!

Congratulations Diana & Scott! Your wedding day was filled with lots of love and dance moves. I loved celebrating you!
