Liberty House Wedding

Brandi & Andrew // Jersey City, New Jersey

Congratulations Brandi and Andrew! These two individuals crossed paths during their college years at Rensselaer, and from that moment on, have been inseparable. When they told me that their wedding would be at Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ, I was so thrilled! Liberty House is one of my favorite venues to shoot weddings in the area—the lush gardens and water views are breathtaking. Brandi and Andrew agreed they chose this gorgeous venue because they loved the ease of having the ceremony and reception in one place (who wants to run around on their wedding day anyway?), and because of the stunning NYC skyline views. This summer wedding did not disappoint! I can’t wait to share my favorite moments with you today.

Nestled along the Hudson River in Jersey City, The Liberty House offers an unparalleled backdrop for a wedding that's nothing short of magical. With its breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, warm ambiance, and impeccable service, this venue has become a cherished destination for couples seeking a dream wedding. Join us as we take a closer look at what makes a wedding at The Liberty House an unforgettable experience.

Liberty State Park Wedding Portraits

From the very beginning, it was clear that Brandi and Andrew wanted their photos to be genuine and sincere, avoiding any trace of cheesiness or over-posing. They wanted their wedding photos to showcase their true selves, like most of the couples I work with, and feel comfortable in front of the camera on their wedding day. With this vision in mind, I captured photos of Andrew and his groomsmen at the Liberty Avenue train station, and then captured wedding photos of the two of them (joined by their wedding parties) all around their wedding venue. The iconic NYC skyline made the perfect backdrop.

Summer Wedding Ceremony at Liberty House

Brandi and Andrew decided to go for a traditional aisle reveal instead of a first look. The anticipation leading up to their long-awaited moment heightened the excitement in the air. The moment they laid eyes on each other was nothing short of extraordinary. Their ceremony unfolded in the picturesque Liberty House courtyard, creating a breathtaking backdrop for their union. As a wedding photographer, I constantly find joy in capturing these precious moments during the ceremony.

The crowning jewel of Liberty House is its panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. Imagine saying your "I dos" against the backdrop of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the glistening skyscrapers of New York City. These awe-inspiring views become even more magical as the sun sets, casting a warm, golden glow over the city that never sleeps. It's a sight that leaves a lasting impression on couples and their guests alike, making every moment of the wedding day a work of art.

Liberty House offers a variety of elegant event spaces to suit every couple's vision. Whether you dream of an intimate indoor ceremony in the Liberty Room or a grand reception on the stunning outdoor patio, the venue's versatility ensures that your wedding can be tailored to your preferences. The Grand Ballroom, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and modern design, is an excellent choice for larger celebrations, while the Liberty Room provides an intimate and cozy atmosphere for smaller gatherings. Regardless of your choice, each space is thoughtfully designed to maximize the scenic views and create a sophisticated ambiance.

Brandi and Andrew's wedding reception was beautifully adorned with elegant and timeless decor. From the delicate white linens to the gleaming gold chiavari chairs, every detail exuded sophistication. Their floral centerpieces featured a soft summer color palette of peach, pink, and white florals, bringing a freshness to every table. The highlight of the venue was the views, and there was no shortage of windows to flood the room with natural light and ensure guests could soak it all in all evening long.

Wedding Reception at Liberty House

Brandi and Andrew wanted their wedding to feel classic but without being too stuffy. They wanted their guests to enjoy themselves and feel comfortable at the reception. To ensure there was a fun atmosphere, Brandi and Andrew had a live band play throughout the evening. Everyone was up on their feet dancing away! On top of that, one of the most memorable moments was when Brandi and Andrew changed into special outfits for the reception—Brandi wore a stunning shorter dress while Andrew wore a kilt! It was a joyous celebration from beginning to end and I couldn’t have been more thrilled for them!
