The Park Savoy Wedding

The Park Savoy Wedding

Krista & Charlie // Florham Park, New Jersey

Nestled in the heart of New Jersey, The Park Savoy is a historic mansion that exudes timeless elegance and charm. With its stunning architecture, manicured gardens, and exquisite ballroom, this luxurious venue sets the stage for a truly unforgettable wedding celebration. It was a thrill to be back at The Park Savoy to capture this stunning May wedding. Krista and Charlie both come from two large Italian families, so they knew they wanted to choose a venue that could accommodate their large guest list with excellent food and a lively atmosphere. Their vision for their wedding day was clear: they wanted their wedding to have a light and romantic feel, with the same bustling fun as a club.

From the moment you arrive at The Park Savoy, you are greeted by its majestic presence. The stately mansion, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant blooms, evokes a sense of grandeur and sophistication. As you step inside, you are captivated by the opulent interiors, with their ornate details, sweeping staircases, and magnificent chandeliers. Every corner of this historic venue exudes elegance, providing the perfect backdrop for a wedding of unparalleled beauty.

Gorgeous Light and Airy Wedding Details

Krista and Charlie were glowing when they got ready at The Park Savoy Estate for their special day. They both had chosen to have a larger wedding party, adding extra anticipation (and joy!) into the air as they were getting ready. Everyone was ready to celebrate! I also spent some time capturing some of the classic and whimsical details Krista and Charles chose for their day. I still can’t get over the beauty of their envelope liner illustration of the venue. Simply stunning.

A Sweet First Look and Garden Wedding Portraits

Krista and Charles had their first look just outside the venue, and I won’t ever forget their sweet expression! These two have such a sweet love story: they actually met on a dating app and then realized they worked for the same company (in different departments). It truly feels as though, one way or another, these two were destined to meet. Charles proposed in Spring Lake on a random Tuesday morning before work (before the July long weekend - so that the two of them could celebrate with both of their families shortly after). After their first look, we ended up taking a stroll so that we could use as many of the beautiful backdrops at the venue as possible for their wedding portraits. I can’t even choose a favorite!

One of the most breathtaking features of The Park Savoy is its expansive gardens. The serene outdoor spaces offer a tranquil ambiance, creating a magical atmosphere for portraits. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, you and your guests are transported into a world of romance and serenity.

An Elegant Chapel Ceremony

Krista and Charles' big ceremony felt warmly intimate. The air was filled with sophistication and romance, thanks to an intricately-designed palette with light and neutral tones. The ceremony took place indoors in the breathtaking chapel on site at The Park Savoy. Everything was perfect, from the grandeur chandeliers to the high windows that let soft daylight in, creating an alluring, ethereal vibe. Baby's breath and candles were elegantly arranged along the nave aisle to complement their unsurprisingly magical day.

The Park Savoy Wedding Reception

The Park Savoy's grand ballroom is a sight to behold. With its high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and lavish decor, it exudes opulence and refinement. The spacious dance floor invites guests to twirl and sway to their heart's content, while the elegantly adorned tables offer a regal setting for dining and celebration. The Park Savoy's ballroom provides the perfect canvas to create a wedding that is both stunning and memorable.

Like I said from the beginning, Krista and Charles wanted their wedding to feel both light and romantic but also wanted a big party feel to celebrate with their family and friends. It’s safe to say they got exactly what they wished for. The florals and decor felt light and delicate, but the dance floor was packed all night long. You can’t help but smile when you see the way these two look at one another, can you?

An Incredible Wedding at Park Savoy

Just before I left, Krista and Charles handed out maracas to all of their guests as a nod to the fact that their wedding was on Cinco de Mayo (what better way to celebrate?). Guests were shaking them on the dance floor and it was the perfect end to a truly flawless wedding day. I was beyond grateful to have been trusted to document it! If you are considering a wedding at the Park Savoy Estate (or one of the other top wedding venues in NYC or New Jersey), head here to see photos from a few more of my favorite weddings, or come say hello on Instagram where I’m always sharing my latest shots!

Congratulations Krista & Charlie! Your wedding felt iconic, and I am so happy for you both!
